Background

The overall objective of the workshop is to upscale the analytical skills of the planners to review the data collected, carrying out data analysis and projection of future regional development scenarios. The specific objectives of the workshop are:

To review data collected by the task force members;

To train planners and development managers in methods and techniques of data analysis;

To analyze and project data collected by planning teams;

To train planners and development managers in techniques of projecting future scenarios of regional development;

To train the participants on strategy and programme formulation for regional development;

To train the participants in skills for integrating sectoral development strategies and programmes; and

To train the participants on preparing a draft regional development plan for ENNDA.
