In this symposium, we will invite the Vice Chairman of the Nagabora District Council, Rikuzentakata, Iwate. There were people in Nagabora who overcame the disaster with mobilizing the power of residents there while the the village become orphaned by the Tsunami. At that time, what did they think and how did they act? There must have been a suprising 'power of community'.
