Delivered a Presentation and Participated as a Panelist in the 6th Waste Management, Waste to Energy Asia Summit 2019, (10-12 April 2019), Jakarta, Indonesia - 15 Apr 2019
Dr. Anupam Khajuria, Researcher of UNCRD participated and delivered a presentation in the 6th Waste Management, Waste to Energy Asia Summit 2019. This conference was organized by INBC Global. She delivered a presentation on the topic of 'Circular Economy and Clean Energy towards achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)'.
She participated as one of the panelist in the conference. Her speech focused on the concept of circular economy towards the SDGs, particular Goal 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) and showed the significant cases of implementation of circular economy in Asia-Pacific region at various levels. During panel discussion, she noted that the reducing energy loss is a vital in the idea of closing the loop 'circular economy'. Furthermore, she expressed strategies and targets of National Renewable Energy Policy Development of Japan, and establishment of Feed-in Tariffs scheme to set the pricing in order to help stabilize the renewable energy business.
