Forum/workshop on Integrated Regional Development Management

Under the framework of the Horizontal/South-South Cooperation Programme in Capacity Building for Integrated Regional development Management, and as a continuation of the training activities developed jointly by UNCRD-LAC and the Ministry of Housing, Environment and Territorial Development of Colombia, a Forum/workshop was held with the purpose of exchanging knowledge on regional integration processes undertaken in Colombia and other parts of the world; jointly identifying strengths and weaknesses in these processes; and identifying building capacity needs, particularly to achieve sustainable development (involving aspects of human security and adaptation to climate change), in order to design a region-specific training programme, training materials, methodologies, and regional policy guidelines for territorial organization and development.
