Delivered lecture to students of Chukyo University, Nagoya, Japan - 18 Jul 2018
On 17 July 2018, Dr. Anupam Khajuria, Researcher of UNCRD delivered a lecture entitled, 'UNCRD and its activities- 3R and IPLA' at Chukyo University, Nagoya, Japan.

She introduced UNCRD organizational chart and its activities. She showed framework of two projects- 'Promotion of 3R in Asia and the Pacific' and 'International Partnership for Expanding Waste Management Services of Local Authorities (IPLA) - a SDG Partnership'. Her lecture focused on the concept of 3R - Reduce, Reuse and Recycle and resource efficiency and principle of IPLA that is involvement of Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) and its activities as a SDG partnership, #SDGAction267. She introduced the First publication of Regional 3R Forum in Asia and the Pacific 'State of the 3Rs in Asia and the Pacific- Experts' Assessment of Progress in Ha Noi 3R Goals'.

She discussed about most recent issue 'plastic waste in the ocean'. During the discussion, she showed the concept of circular economy, how to make the transition from linear to circular economy and how benefits of circular economy helps to reduce the impact of plastics on human health and environment.
