Public Symposium: "Wisdom of the World and Wisdom of Chubu ~ Sustainable and Resilient Regional Development ~ United Nations Centre for Regional Development" (31 August 2016, Nagoya) - 10 Aug 2016This year the United Nations Centre for Regional Development (UNCRD) commemorates the 45th year since its establishment in Nagoya, back in 1971. Since that time, UNCRD has made various contributions to the promotion of the globalization of the Chubu region through a wide range of activities, including human resource development and capacity-building on regional development. To commemorate the 45th anniversary, a public symposium will be organized, in which UNCRD’s activities during this 45 year-period will be reviewed and discussions on planning for sustainable and resilient city will be held in light of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 11: “Sustainable Cities and Communities”.
