Integrated Regional Development Planning (IRDP) --founded on a territorial approach to sustainable development-- is a powerful tool for integrating its three pillars in concrete territories, based on the human and ecological capacities. IRDP recognizes the multi-stakeholder, multi-dimensional, multi-scalar and multi-sectoral character of development, as well as the complex exchanges, interdependencies and complementarities between the territories, including urban and rural, and cross jurisdictional aspects. The panel gathered an audience of approx 200 people. Speakers included representatives from national governments of Chile, Peru and Colombia, and subnational governments of Azuay, Bogota and Cundinamarca. It was also attended by representatives of ECLAC, ORU-FOGAR, CAF and the CCB.
