Regional Environmentally Sustainable Transport (EST) Policy Dialogue and Training Workshop for South Asia and South-East Asian Cities - 10 Oct 2017
The Regional EST Policy Dialogue and Training Workshop for South Asia and South-East Asian Cities under the theme of "Building Resilient and Sustainable Cities through EST Solutions & Measures ~ Realizing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development" will be held at Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Pathumthani, Thailand on 10-12 October 2017. The Training Workshop will be co-organized by the United Nations Centre for Regional Development (UNCRD) of the Division for Sustainable Development (DSD)/UN DESA in collaboration with Ministry of the Environment of the Government of Japan (MOEJ) (tbc), the Ministry of Transport, the Royal Thai Government (tbc), the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN ESCAP), Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), German International Cooperation (GIZ), and the Partnership on Sustainable, Low Carbon Transport (SLoCaT). The training aims to build the capacity of cities and local government authorities in support of SDGs 11-Make Cities and Human Settlements Inclusive, Safe, Resilient and Sustainable by 2030.
