Training Module Development on Post-Disaster Redevelopment (2008-2009)
A new project entitled, "Training Module Development on Post-Disaster Redevelopment," was initiated with the financial support of the UNCRD Core Fund in 2008-2009. The objectives of the project include: (a) collection of appropriate data on the reconstruction following the Great Hanshin Awaji Earthquake, the 2004 Niigata Chuetsu Earthquake, and other international experiences; (b) analysis of collected data to provide training courses for developing countries; (c) formulation of a standard training course programme for future implementation; and (d) record and distribution of data and proposal of implementing training programmes throughout the world to seek new opportunities.
